Return & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

At River ODP, we are committed to delivering high-quality building services, including the design and installation of orangeries, house extensions, windows, doors, and garden rooms.

As our products and services are custom-made to each customer’s specifications, the right to return or cancel may be limited under UK Consumer Law and our company terms.

2. Made-to-Order Products

All products and projects supplied by River ODP are made-to-order and manufactured to client specifications.

Once manufacturing has commenced or materials have been ordered, we cannot accept cancellations or returns except in cases where goods are faulty, damaged, or do not conform to contract.

3. Cancellation Before Manufacturing or Work Commencement

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of signing the contract if no work has yet begun and no custom materials have been ordered.

To cancel, please notify River ODP in writing (email or letter) clearly stating your decision.

If materials have been ordered or works have commenced, cancellation may result in deductions covering costs incurred up to that point.

4. Faulty or Defective Products

If you discover that products installed by River ODP (such as windows, doors, conservatories, or structural elements) are faulty or not as described:

  • Please contact us within 30 days of installation or discovery of the issue.
  • We will arrange for inspection and, where necessary, repair, replace, or rework the faulty item at no extra cost to you.
  • In cases where repair or replacement is not possible, you may be entitled to a partial refund based on the value of the faulty work.

5. Non-Fault Returns

Due to the bespoke nature of our work, we cannot accept returns for reasons such as:

  • Change of mind after work has started
  • Incorrect measurements provided by the client
  • Design changes requested after manufacturing has begun

Our team works closely with you during the survey, design, and approval phases to ensure all measurements and details are correct before proceeding.

6. Deposit Refunds

Deposits are typically non-refundable after the 14-day cooling-off period unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If cancellation occurs before materials are ordered or any labour scheduled, a refund (less any administrative or survey costs) may be considered at the company’s discretion.

7. Changes to Orders

Once a project has been confirmed and production has started, any requested changes may incur additional charges and may extend project timelines.

All change requests must be made in writing and will be subject to review and confirmation by River ODP.

8. Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this return and cancellation policy affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

You have the right to goods and services that are as described, fit for purpose, and of satisfactory quality.
